Back in 2004 we made a trip to New Orleans to see the Mardi Gras. What a fabulous and fun experience!! Made even better by having a good friend living in the heart of the city, who had lots of connections to get us into some prime Mardi Gras activities and was an all-around fantastic host. There was the parade, and the parties, and the non stop food. Great great great fun. It was a while ago, but I believe this was the King of the Parade.
